Amplifying Survivor Voices in Sudan’s Transitional Justice Process – Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Workshop
Training | Private
GIJTR partner CSVR will conduct a four-day training with select civil society organizations on introducing MHPSS concepts in Sudan, as well as its linkages with transitional justice. Through interactive exercises and simulation activities, facilitators will demonstrate means of providing basic counselling to victims and how to adapt a holistic approach and care required to provide victim support in Sudan that is contextually and culturally appropriate and will meet the needs of victims and communities. The workshop will also explore community-based interventions as measures to address atrocity prevention and transitional justice by highlighting the importance of community platforms for dialogues on transitional justice, as well as practical mechanisms that promote and support community healing, reconciliation and social cohesion.
