Role of CSOs & Non-State Actors in Contributing Toward Reparations
Webinar | Public
While formal transitional justice processes can often feel out of reach to everyday people, civil society organizations and activists can play a vital role in bridging these processes and making them more accessible to communities. Reparations – be it symbolic reparations, restitution, or rehabilitation– are one area that CSOs can contribute towards justice, acknowledging survivors of conflict and assisting them to reintegrate into society. In this webinar, Pratima Narayan, Deputy Director for the Global Transitional Justice Initiative, spoke with partners and allies of the Coalition’s Global Initiative for Justice, Truth and Reconciliation about how CSOs and other non-state actors can effectively foster understanding and action around reparations in post-conflict societies.
